Stars Pledge Their Service To Barack Obama

Ashton Kutcher has taken a break from producing ridiculous reality shows to make a politically-inspired PSA that celebrates Barack Obama coming into office. The video stars celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Courtney Cox and David Arquette, and Eva Longoria all promising to do their part in making our country a better place.

And that means more than just showing up to the big inaugural parties tonight! Demi Moore’s promise is to simply “smile more,” while Joel Madden pledges to be a great father.

Ashton said about his new project, "We are honored to be working with MySpace to rally the entertainment industry to answer President-elect Barack Obama’s call to service. The Presidential Pledge is a platform for people across the nation and throughout the world to make a first-person commitment of service to our new president, articulating a specific intent or action to become an agent of positive change.”

CEO of Myspace Chris DeWolfe says, "Ashton and Demi's commitment is truly inspiring as are the moving pledges that cultural icons and everyday Americans will deliver to support President Obama. MySpace has always offered a platform for people looking to make a positive difference in the world, and we're thrilled to partner with Katalyst on this landmark initiative."

Myspace has come quite a long way from just being a social networking site! It’s great to see the commitment some of the stars have for Obama, and we hope they’ll keep their promises! Check out the video to see more statements from celebrities about how they intend to change things in our country and around the world.

It never ceases to amaze me the ability of celebrities to pretend that they are "real people". They can't begin to comprehend that the working class tax payers of America are the people who make up this country and make this country work, not politicians. It's only by the grace of God that we have been priviledged enough to be born Americans, a fact that we should be proud of. So...the celebrity lemmings of our society can pledge their service to Obama, but as for us the American people, our pledge will be to serve to our God, our country, and each other.

This was to be expected, now they are going after our children. This propaganda is what Hitler used on the German people. I'm ashamed of America today, allowing this crap to be viewed in our schools and on our airways. Get ready you real Americans they are calling us out. The revolution is coming.

Frightening, yet oh so predictable. What I took away from this dribble is that left leaning celebs (although I didn't recognize over half of them) can only be decent, polite, thoughtful, considerate people when a democrat is in the White House. This video speaks volumes about your true character. And Demi? No U.S. citizen should ever pledge to be a servant to any career politician (Weren't you trying to end slavery earlier in the video?). Can't wait until 2012!

What a great idea! Let us all make a pledge to serve our leaders....LOL. I guess the concept that our leaders are there to serve us the people is just lost on the loony, lefty celebs out there in Hollyweird. Heil Obama!

LThis is a great project highlighting the idea that if we all work together we can have a better and more respected place to live.
