Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele showed up to the red carpet premiere of New Year’s Eve looking pretty flirty with each other. Which is surprising, because there wasn’t even a hot tub nearby.
Kutcher and Michele play love interests in the movie, so odds are they were just hamming it up for the cameras, but they sure did a good job. Kutcher held on to Michele’s lower back, whispering in her ear throughout the photo op.
The Glee star was elated when she heard that she would get to kiss Ashton Kutcher in the movie. She told Entertainment Tonight:
“I mean who wouldn’t choose to kiss Ashton?”
Well, I can name at least one person.
The pair hugged, touched and laughed throughout their red carpet appearance. After shooting New Year's Eve, Lea said of her costar: “He's hilarious, and I got punk'd a couple times. He's also really smart and would like talk about everything going on in the world, which I had absolutely no idea half the stuff he was talking about, so I would go home and Google everything and try to brush up on everything that's going on in our world to come in the next day and try to have a conversation."
He’s a man! So he like, knows about all sorta stuff us girls don’t know about. But luckily, there’s Google!
“He’s great,” Lea continued. “He made me feel really comfortable.”
So how exactly did Ashton punk her?
“He opened the door with the towel on…It was a good punk.”
Man, no wonder Justin Bieber has to take over that show.
Lea’s Glee costars, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Harry Shum Jr., Cory Monteith, Mark Salling and Kevin McHale all came out to support their TV-turned-movie star friend.
Ashton, who usually seems like the life of the party, decided to skip the after party hoopla. Kutcher has kept a low profile since Demi Moore announced that they were ending their six-year marriage. Ashton spent the Thanksgiving weekend with friends in his native Iowa.
Moore hasn’t moved on to anyone new either, but she’s been spotted in Hollywood with several male friends, who are all reportedly platonic.
As for Lea’s relationship status, she and her boyfriend, Theo Stockman, called it quits this September after a year-long relationship.
"It’s important to me to be honest about these things, there are horrific breakups, but we were friends before, and we’ll be friends after," Michele said in an interview after the breakup.
