Something tells me this year's Golden Globes could be even better than last year's.
After Gervais introduced the night's first presenter, Johnny Depp as "the man that will literally anything Tim Burton tells him to," Depp presented the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting actor for Christopher Plummer.
From there, presenters Ashton Kutcher and Elle McPherson took the stage to announce the nominees for Best Actress in a TV Series. And Kutcher referred to actress Zooey Deschanel as "the cutest damn thing you've ever seen" when announcing her nomination for The New Girl. Brave, considering Ricky is probably backstage writing last minute material.
The award ended up going to Laura Dern for her HBO TV series, Enlightened.
Fresh faced and fresh off his divorce, Ashton is already flirting with A-listers. Zooey's reaction seemed to be pleasant surprise.
Girl, don't act like you don't know you cute.
Kate Winslet won her third Golden Globe for her role in Mildred Pierce.
"I share this with my beautiful children who light up my life every day. I'm so proud to be their mom," Winslet said in her acceptance speech.
