High School Musical 4-EVR actress Ashley Tisdale has a superfan on her hands that’s taken online social media anxiety to a whole new level.
Where the rest of us have to wring our hands over the politics of whether or not you absolutely have to follow back a semi-acquaintance of yours who followed you on Twitter, Ashley’s got an obsessive fan who has sent her more than 18,888 tweets…then reportedly showed up at her house.
It’s like a scene out of Fear for a new, wired generation. A B-plotline from an episode of “Hannah Montana” that didn’t make it past the Parents Television Council on account of being too spooky. Ashley has pulled back the shower curtain of her Twitter account to reveal a silhouette holding a kitchen knife midair and #SLASH! #SLASH! #SLASH!
Law enforcement tells TMZ the LAPD have set into motion an investigation with an identified suspect.
The individual, believed to be a male, whose mental state can only be described as a tweet a few characters short of 140, has been @ing the actress since November of last year.
Here are some of the tweets in question (just imagine they were composed with block letters in various fonts, shapes, sizes and colors because they’re on the same level of insanity):
"My body is yours & even as friends I f*ckin love how I make u feel like mom maybe we both got issues cuz nobody's perfect."
"I'll never lose u baby even in 20 years til infinity you'll always b my best friend."
"Let it all out on me u can have my heart put a lock on it throw away the key & my soul is yours to keep."
The cops are attempting to speak with the fan and determine whether or not a risk is posed to Ashley’s well-being.
