Ashlee Simpson is a Real Star Now

Ashlee Simpson got A LOT of heat after her lip synching scandal. People questioned her musical talent but Simpson admits that she just doesn’t care what people say anymore. Ashlee admits that doing the musical Chicago definitely boosted her confidence and that’s all that she cares about.

She says, "There was a time when what people said about me could really get to me. But working on Chicago helped me come into my own.

"(Theatre acting) had been a dream of mine ever since I was little, and being able to fulfill it... was amazing. It taught me to be more comfortable with myself."

As far as all those people who still sit there an criticize her she says, "I've gotten to the point where being credible with myself is more important to me than what anyone else says. People make up stories about you, but they don't really know you. I'm not fazed by that anymore."

Aww, Ashlee now you are a true star! The moment when you don’t give a shit about what other people say about you is the day you have actually made it in the industry because reality is that people can be really cruel.
