Ashanti cancelled a concert over the weekend when she got word that a 17-year-old drunken driver killed her cousin.
She was only 20 years old and on her way to Ashanti's hotel on Saturday before her concert when the car she was riding in was rear-ended.
“Snead was flung from the car as it rolled over and thrown into the path of another car in the opposite lane. The 17-year-old unlicensed driver had stolen his mother's car, said Johannesburg metro police spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar. He was also under the influence of liquor,”
The 17 year old was arrested for drunken driving. This is one of the reasons that teenagers under 18 should not drive. Regardless if they are drunk or not, they are just not mature enough to take the responsibility of driving seriously.
