Artist Of The Week: Young Jinsu

Meet Hollyscoop’s "Artist of the Week", his name is Young Jinsu and we are declaring him the "Prince of Hip Hop".

At age 13, this energetic teen is fearless and talented. Born in Rhode Island, nicknamed "Jinsu" by his Godfather at age 5 because of his clean from head to toe appearance and sharp as a Ginsu knife rhyme delivery. At age 8, Young Jinsu faced troubled times, when his mother abandoned him and got involved with drugs, prostitution and jail. This deep scar later influenced his music in which he dedicated a song to his mother.

Young Jinsu has been making noise with his music and his teen idol looks. His show stopping stage presence caught the attention of P. Diddy, who brought Jinsu to the stage in Boston where he held his own with the likes of Fabulous and Craig David. Having rocked audiences across the Northeast while opening a few shows for Method Man and Wu Tang Clan, the young, sharp and ready emcee was perfectly poised to headline Four Kings Production’s 2005 Nationwide Unsigned Hype tour with NY’s hottest rising talent including Island Def Jam recording artist Chrisette Michelle. He recently completed songs with Ja-Kwon, Chris Brown and producer Lil Ronnie.

When you hear his music and lyrics, you can tell that this Hip Hop prince is far beyond his years in wisdom. Hollyscoop believes this teen star will reign the charts.
