Artist Of The Week: Nick Howard
Every day, Hollyscoop receives mass amounts of emails in regards to our “Artist Of The Week” article. This week we have found a talented musician by the name of Nick Howard. A melody minded singer and songwriter who draws upon a range of funk, rock, jazz and acoustic led influences to blend soulful harmonies and a cutting edge sound. It is this mix that creates the unique blend of music that distinguished Nick Howard from all others.
Born and raised in Brighton, England, Nick realized a long time ambition in 2004, moving to New York and pursuing his passion and musical dream. Almost within weeks of hitting the New York singer/songwriter circuit, he created the type of buzz which has helped to establish him as the type of artist who sits here and now, looking down the neck of his first release and at the start of a blossoming career in music. Nicks music is influenced by his emotions, observations and opinions and the range of musical exposure he has had up to this point. Recorded with the support of some of New York’s finest musicians, the majority of the CD was recorded in Brooklyn, New York with the help of Travis Harrison. “Come a little closer” was recorded with the guidance of producer and musician Eytan Oren, and engineer Godfrey Diamond. We have to say this song is one of our favorites along with “Happy”, “Contradictions” and “Bullied By My Dreams”.
Nick is currently in the works of creating a second album which should be released by October 2006. In the meantime, you can catch Nick on a college tour. Besides from his great looks and charm, Nick knows how to gravitate an audience with his soulful music mixed with his cutting edge sound. To hear Nick Howard and get more information Click Here.
