Bernie Madoff has finally met his judgement day. He was just sentenced to 150 years in prison for orchestrating the biggest Ponzi scheme in history.

The 71-year-old former Nasdaq chairman pleaded guilty to securities fraud and other charges in March and has been jailed since.

U.S. District Judge Denny Chin announced the sentencing in New York this morning. Defense attorneys had sought 12 years, while prosecutors wanted the maximum. The federal probation department had recommended 50 years.

Redmond O'Neal is still in prison indefinitely, but he will be permitted to attend his mother Farrah Fawcett’s funeral.

Commissioner Jane Godfrey signed a removal order today which will allow Redmond to be temporarily released so that he can pay respects to his mother.

Redmond will be allowed to wear a suit and not his jail issued attire. The source adds Redmond is devastated by the death of his mother and is committed to his sobriety to honor her...

Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested (again!) in Paris for allegedly hitting a waiter while drunk, AFP has reported.

The Tudors actor, who is fresh out of rehab, is being charged with "willful violence, outrage, hitting and threatening death."

The incident went down at "Le Quotidien" bar in terminal 2F at Charles de Gaulle airport.

He has been ordered to appear in court in a Paris suburb in September to face the charges.

Redmond O'Neal appeared before a judge today and admitted to violating his probation.

He came into court wearing a jumpsuit and handcuffs, and when the judge asked him whether he understood what he had done, he answered, “Yes , your honor.”

But he admitting didn’t help matters, since the judge ruled that Redmond will remain in custody. He’ll stay behind bars until next Friday when he’ll appear in court again for another hearing.

This kid is trouble! Maybe the judge just wants...

Redmond O'Neal, the troubled son of Ryan O'Neal and actress Farrah Fawcett was arrested Sunday morning for possession of narcotics and for bringing narcotics into a jail facility, Los Angeles Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore confirms.

"At about 9:30 a.m., our deputies did a routine security check on a car in the parking lot of one of our jails," Whitmore says. "Redmond was driving the vehicle, and admitted to deputies he was in possession of drugs."

Talk about a lucky break! Felony drug charges against Lil Wayne have been dropped after an Atlanta, Georgia judge granted the rapper's request to dismiss the case on the grounds of an illegal police search.

Lil Wayne was arrested back in August 2006 at the Twelve Hotel after Atlanta police claimed they had found bottles containing hydrocodone and Xanax, along with a small amount of marijuana in a room he was allegedly staying at.

The LAPD just named Rihanna the victim in the Chris Brown assault case. The couple was seen getting into a car together late last night.

They got into an argument on North June Street, according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement.

Chris Brown stopped the car, the two got out, and the argument escalated, according to police. A witness called 911 and Chris left the scene before LAPD arrived.

Another day, another celebrity arrest. 'Sons of Hollywood' reality show star David Weintraub was arrested in the wee hours this morning in Los Angeles after failing to pass a sobriety test.

Sources tell Hollyscoop EXCLUSIVELY that David was spotted driving down Fountain Blvd in Los Angeles in his silver Range Rover when police stopped him at the corner of Fountain and Highland for a routine sobriety check.
