Arrested Development

To all you “Arrested Development” doubters out there who have been second-guessing this since 2006, stop it already!

The freakishly anticipated re-launch of the FOX original series is actually happening. Only this time show creator Mitch Hurwitz and is taking it to the instant stream.

To confirm it, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, David Cross and several other “Arrest Development” cast members took the stage at a Netflix-sponsored event in Las Vegas.

Seriously, I’m starting to get over this whole Arrested Development movie thing. And I’m a big fan of the show, so that’s saying a lot!

Last night I asked Jeffrey Tambor what the dealio was on the film happening or not, and I really expected him to say no. But to my delight, he surprised me!

Here’s how it went down:

Arrested Development Movie Back On!

Me “I have to ask you a question.”
JT: “Yes.”

Me: “I hope that yes was for Arrested Development happening.
JT: “Yes, its going to happen.”

Me: “When?”
JT: “Tomorrow, no it's going to happen. I just don't know the date. There is no reason for it not to happen, Everybody is on board.”

So there ya have it! I know David Cross made headlines back in April saying the movie was a no-go. But I have no reason not to believe George Bluth Sr.

You’re welcome, AD fans.
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
Arrested Development fans have reason to celebrate again, because the movie about the hit comedy is back on! There have been rumors about a movie spin-off of the sitcom since it was canceled in 2006, but it’s run into a slew of problems which have halted production.

The movie was supposedly scrapped for good last year after Jason Bateman and Michael Cera’s film careers exploded. However, last week Cera confirmed that the movie is back on.

And co-star Will Arnett says the entire cast is on board to shoot the film this year. However, Cera last week confirmed he's onboard, and Arnett has revealed a script is close to completion and all the cast are booked up to shoot the film this year.

Arnett, who plays failed magician Gob Bluth, tells ComingSoon.net , "We are working on the movie right now. We don't have a completed script yet, but it's forthcoming and we're going to make the movie this year."

Always the jokester, Arnett added, "We're hoping once Jason Bateman gets out of rehab. I think that we're going to start shooting. Oh, was I not supposed to . . . ? Please don't air that."

We can’t wait!
Back In February, Hollyscoop reported that the Arrested Development movie was a go.

Well, it's been months, and we started questioning that "confirmation" we got from Jason Bateman. But since then, Hollyscoop has run into a couple more cast mates, and gotten yeses from them as well, not to mention a full list of all the main characters on board on imdb!

Jeffrey Tambor told reporters, "When the writer calls you, and the director, and the executive producer calls you, it's a pretty good sign. We want to close that. We want to bring that all to fruition."

Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz will return to write the script. There's no real plot outline, per se, but imbd did list a few keywords or hints. Click HERE to see them.
TV shows turned movies are the fad right now, and following in the footsteps of Sex and the City and Friends is Arrested Development.

Die hards of the sitcom will no longer have to sit around watching reruns of the Bluth family, because Jason Bateman thinks they'll most likely be hitting the big screen.

Ever since the show got cancelled there have been talks of a movie, but Jason said it was all about the timing. He says the cast is anxious to do it because they all miss each other. And so have we!

I've been dying for Arrested Development to come back on the air, so this news makes my Monday.

Jason Bateman has confirmed that producer Ron Howard has put the wheels in motion on creating a movie based on the series. Jason says the cast is just as excited as the fans to do it, and everyone is on board. Whoohoo!
