Arnold Schwarzenegger Sparks Controversy

October 29, 2007

Misc.

The Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has a message for you!

He says, "I didn't take any drugs. That (marijuana) is not a drug. It's a leaf….My heart was pumping iron, trust me."

Naturally, that comment has sparked a lot of controversy. The Governor made the statement in a recent interview with GQ magazine.

How many people do you think are gonna try to use that “but our Governor said that Marijuana is a leaf, not a drug” comment to try to get out of trouble with the cops?

I personally think that this should be legal. How many times have you heard I smoked a joint and got in my car and killed someone, but then you hear about all the drinking and driving. Hell if you smoke a joint you dont want to drive you want to go to the kitchen and get something to chow on. The world needs to relax, and that will do it.

Only in America is Marijuana such a big controversy. There have never been any reported deaths or serious issues due to Marijuana use. The one thing it might affect is short-term memory...nothing major. I'm not condoning it, nor have I ever tried it, but just because the government says certain things are terrible doesn't make it true. Scandal my ass!
