MTV doesn't play music videos anymore thanks to the ease and immediacy of YouTube. That great migration—from TV to the net—happened a few years ago, but now it has come to our attention that not even YouTube plays what we'd call music videos anymore. They only play Beats by Dre commercials.

This year especially, the product placements for the brand's latest speakers and headphones have been glaring and constant. We concede that sound systems and music videos go hand in hand (or hand in ear, whatever); often the tech being marketed will do its best to fit into the narrative of the video (most obvious is when a stereo, for instance, serves as a diegetic object offering music for a video).

Here are a handful of examples:

"Break Free" by Ariana Grande

"Anaconda" by Nicki Minaj

"Bang Bang" by Jessie J

"Show Me" by Kid Ink

"New Flame" by Chris Brown

"2 On" by Tinashe

All that said, SOMEONE MAKE IT STOP.
