Just as we, and everyone, predicted Anne Hathaway took home the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables.

She starts off her speech with “Blergh.”

We’re off to a great start.

Anne went on to give a heartfelt speech that almost had me in as many tears as I did when I watched Les Miserables.

She thanked fellow nominee Sally Field, a sitcom star turned award winning actress, effectively breaking the glass ceiling for women in film and apparently serving as a role model for Anne.

Anne thanked her “brilliant” co-star Hugh Jackman and the film’s director Tom Hooper who she said, “was crying right along with her, the entire time she was filming.”

Of course, Anne also thanked her newlywed husband Adam Shulman. Again, I almost broke into tears again.

This is her first Golden Globe award.
