Anne Hathaway has come a long way from the frizzy haired bespectacled nerd she played in "The Princess Diaries."

Appearing on the cover of Harpers Bazaar oozing old-school Hollywood glamour, in one photo she wears a white gown with flowing train that made the Royal Wedding dress look like a tea cozy.

Anne opens up to the mag about everything from her less-than-perfect Oscar co-hosting gig to doing nude scenes in “Love and Other Drugs. “

On James Franco’s comments that she was like a “Tasmanian Devil” on the Oscars: “I let James know that a whirling dervish is a more flattering comparison than a Tasmanian devil….Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars.”

On how she makes a relationship work: “I’m going to be exactly who I am. And I’m going to be brave enough to only be with someone who wants me the way I am.”

On why she stops herself from getting caught up in a romance: “…It was exhausting and sometimes it would freak me out. Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life.”

On her nude scenes in “Love and Other Drugs”: “I don’t get hung up on nudity. To me, it was just an extension of who she was. It was real.”

On red carpet fashion: “[I feel] like the luckiest girl in the world when I get to wear all these glamorous clothes.”
