Anne Hathaway Engaged to Adam Shulman

After playing more brides and wives in movies than years she’s been alive, Anne Hathaway is finally getting real-life hitched!

The 29 year-old-actress is engaged to her actor boyfriend Adam Shulman. Not much is known about Adam Shulman, but does it really matter, he’s an actor and very soon he’ll be known as “Anne Hathaway’s husband” and that’s the most important part. Also he looks the teeniest bit like Ryan Gosling, which is a plus.

The two have been together for three years, hooking up right after Hathaway’s fallout with ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri who Hathaway broke up with after he pled guilty in October 2008 to defrauding investors millions of dollars, conspiracy, and 14 counts of money laundering. From rebound to engagement, that’s one heck of a story.

Anne has been coy about this engagement, we know that Shulman popped the question because Anne was photographed on Sunday in Brooklyn wearing an engagement ring. In case you were wondering, the ring was designed by Kwiat Hertiage.

“I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I feel in love like a fool!” admits Hathaway.

She also told People mag over the summer, “I’m a romantic at heart. He’s the best!”

Aww, let’s hear more quotes and Hathaway in love.

She says that they met when both weren’t single, so they had that whole “Oh I’m in a relationship” bull sh-t to deal with. “We hit it off immediately,” says Hathaway, “But it took us a pretty long time to get together.” Once they were both single, “things sped up a bit – and I think I’ll leave it at that.”

She says Shulman is far more “mellow” than her previous guys. And by mellow I’m sure she means, smoke a lot of weed is awesome.

“So far, it’s worked out great. Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life,” says Hathaway.

Hathaway has long talked about getting married. Back in 2008 she told Access Hollywood, “Sometimes I find myself somewhere and I’m just like, “Oh, it’d be really fun to get married here.”

After her breakup from Follieri, Hathaway even wondered if she would get married, “Of course, like everyone, I’m kind of going through a moment where I’m like, ‘Do I even believe in marriage?’ ‘What’s going on?’ ‘You know, as you do when you’re fresh from a break up.”

Ohh how the tables have turned. Congratulations Anne and Adam!
