It's about damn time! DNA samples of Dannielynn and Larry Birkhead were taken this morning, according to MSNBC's Rita Cosby.

Both Birkhead and the baby were at a Bahamas doctor's office at this morning and had samples taken. Wanna be baby daddy, Howard K. Stern's DNA was not taken because by law there is a presumption that he's the father since his name was listed on the birth certificate.

If Birkhead's wishes come true and the DNA matches Dannielynn's, he can challenge Stern for a DNA and fight for custody. The samples will be sent back to the Bahamas in four days.
