Report: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Split

Brangelina no more! Hollywood's golden couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly decided to separate and are having legal paperwork drawn up to share custody of their six children.

According to several reports the split is amicable and since they never married, they won't have to go through a nasty divorce and each person will keep his/her own fortune.

Jolie will reportedly get full custody of the kids, but Pitt will have full visitation rights.

Brad and Angie didn't show up to the SAG Awards today or the Golden Globes last Sunday. Brad's movie 'Inglourious Basterds' won for best ensemble, but Brad was nowhere in sight.

News of the split was first reported by the UK's News of the World. According to the report, they signed documents for separation in "early January."

"It seemed clear they want the world to know they'll both play a part in the upbringing of the children," the source said. "But Angelina will actually be the one who lives with them full-time."

The last time they were seen together was earlier this month during a family outing in New York. They had taken their kids to see Mary Poppins.

According to reports, they got into a heated argument while having dinner together at Alto restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. Brad was overheard telling Angie she needs to seek psychiatric help for the depression she's suffering since losing her mother three years ago.

The couple, who never married, have been together since shooting the film "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" five years ago, when Brad was married to Jennifer Aniston.

Back in December 2009, during an interview with Das Neue magazine, Jolie said she doesn't believe fidelity is "essential" for a relationship.

She told the magazine, "I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.

“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”

She added, "The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt."

Of course the big question on everyone's mind is "Will Brad Reconcile with Jennifer Aniston?" They were together in the same room on Friday night during the Haiti telethon, but they reportedly avoided each other.

I cannot believe this. I have to C if Paris Hilton says anything b4 I go off the deep end. We know there has been a news shortage bcuz of Tiger but let's B real. We know that Brad and Angie R committed to raising those kids. MayB Brad wanted her to go to sex therapy along with Tiger after reading her interviews about sex. I like them both as a couple. They are very important philanthropists. I will pray 4 them and the kids.

Angie was always a permiscuous slore, and Brad just got caught-up in th moment with her. He'd already screwed-up his marriage with Jen (if you can even call it that), so he felt it'd make sense to at least try and build on a momentary impulse. At least that's how it seems to me! Jen would've lost him anyway. She lacked the ability to keep him interested. Which is why he left on such a whim. He simply needed a good enough reason. She's just too boring. Cute....but boring. She's just not the kind of woman you bring home to mom. Neither was Angie! Which is why I feel Brad can finally be happy now. Would you REALLY want to grow old with a woman who doesn't believe in fidelity? Would any SANE man REALLY want to see this slore grow into an ugly old hag??? Her good looks, and awesome lips drew Brad in in the first place. Without it, there's no substance to her. Good luck, Brad Pitt.

I know all you old cat ladies who fantasize about Jen Aniston getting Brad back are creaming your grandma underwear, but this is a 'News of the World,' report - which if you didn't know, is the absolute, lowest, scum sucking bottomfeeding rank tabloid in the world. Given the frequency of rumors like this, I really have to wonder why you'd believe this lie, rather than the 2,357 that came before it? Especially when the source is 10x more unreliable than your average tabloid. What will you do when it's proven false, invevitably? Just Jared has already stated that he contacted a rep, who decried it as total b.s. What I think is unconscionable, is the fact that Brad took his eldest son Maddox to the Saints game last weekend, odds are he was going again this weekend - but to wake up to this ugliness about his parents and his family, needlessly, really does show you how evil people are. How many times do they have to say their happy, be affectionate, get pregnant, say they're eacg other's soulmates, be inseparable...I have no idea if they will go the distance, I have no idea if my brother's marriage or my Mom's marriage to my Dad will - but I know if and when they do split, a scummy tabloid that's been sued 500 different ways (just last month), is not going to break it to you. I feel sorry for the kids. The parents never married and it is almost like they never trusted each other. That is so sad since it leaves kids without one parent around to help them. I think that living together is a cop out for not taking responsiblity for anything and it is hard when it ends since there is no legal protection for anyone in the relationship especially when children are created in it. Another thing that people do not think about is if one of them dies the other does not qualify for pension, life insurance or social security benefits.
