Dr. Drew Concerned With Angelina Jolie

Dr. Drew made headlines last week when he publicly slammed Tom Cruise for being a Scientologist in a Playboy article, and he didn't stop there. Dr. Drew also picks on Angelina Jolie in the article. He says he questions whether she's even sober at the moment because of her past heroin use.

He says in the article, "I'm concerned with what's really going on with Angelina Jolie. I've never seen someone remit heroin completely. You're either still on heroin, Oxycontin or something else. Unless you're dead. Is she still using something? Is she in recovery. If she's in recovery, I don't see any evidence of it, because people in recovery invest themselves in simple, selfless acts of service, not global self-serving acts."

Ouch. That's kind of a stinger. Angie's probably used to being praised for her global humanitarian work, not dissed for it! Do you agree with Dr. Drew's statement, or is he full of it?

She is disturbed. The public has been fooled to consider she's a humanitarian. She's tormented and is trying to compensate for her sins so to speak. Thinking it's funny committing adultery as she continues to expand her family in interviews she gives to the media. Brad won't marry her. Jen should have called her out long time ago and handled it. Angelina runs off to Africa and we all are suppose think she really is about other people. Brad needs to accompany her on her trips. Rumor has it she she shagged the doctor she appears with in Newsweek. Nobody is denying it.She's probably still uses drugs. Poor kids.

Thank you Dr Drew. Addicts don't recover on their own. Addiction get worse over time. Angelina is a great actress. But she is also very cruel to Jennifer Aniston and Laura Dern and who knows what else. I almost had a guy emotionally cheat with me but I cut it short because of the impact it would have on others. Angelina has no clue or care and that makes her very dangerous. Her beauty saves her for now but one day it won't.

WOW! I am amazed. I am a mental health professional and we actually sit down with a person for sometime before we diagnose them. I will tell all my co-workers just to skip that part and read gossip publications for info! It will save us all a lot of time and effort. Dr. Drew is a hack. He may be educated but whether you like Jolie or Cruise or not it is completely unethical to offer a diagnosis about someone one has never met and to state it in a public forum as if it were fact. Especially when one has the appearance of credibility. He is a DR. sure but first and formost he is a radio personality trying to generate interest in himself.

Dr. Drew has proven himself credible in the past. What can we say for Angelina? She turned from crazy, blood-drinking, crazy-in-love with a guy named Billy Bob to a model citizen without ANY assistance in just shy of 3 or 4 years? Completely different person? Has anyone noticed how bad Brad's looked since he hooked up with Angelina? It's like he's got the life sucked out of him and is now just a walking zombie. He looks like the male version of Katie Holmes, with those eyes pleading for release from untold horrors. Pity he let go of Aniston, a woman who so obviously loved him so much and so well. And that Aniston is a true class act: hyper-articulate, self- aware and just seems like an all-round good soul (Just read Vanity Fair's interview with her in 2005 and see how she articulated and argued very difficult feelings that would have left most of us tongue-tied). I hope Aniston knows her true worth, even though her cad and dud of a husband can't, and shines like the true star of an actress and person she is. That lady's a winner.

@ clearasday - Yes, she kissed her brother once in public. She's clearly in an incestuous relationship. Because that's totally not something people would try to hide or anything. Also, while she and Brad hooked up while he was still married, he and Jennifer had been separated for awhile and he and Angelina didn't actually become an actua "item" until he started the divorce process. And I think there's far easier ways to "hoodwink" the public than adopting a bunch of children. Do you even have kids? Have you ever actually watched someone's kids for them for longer than a couple hours? If you do, or had, you'd understand how much work one kid is, let alone all the ones she's adopted! That's far too much work in her personal life just so she can "hoodwink" us. And as for her "outbursts" - wow, are you living in the '90s or something? Because while Angelina was once wild, she's tamed down immensely. She credits this to becoming a mother when she adopted Maddox. I'm all for proving people aren't perfect - because we're not, but if you're going to give reasons for it, at least research them and/or think them through before you open your mouth. Because if you bothered to take a few minutes to look at how Angelina has behaved in the last 7 years as opposed to all the tabloid shit from the years before that, you'd realise she's different now. And while her weight does concern me, if you look back, you'll notice she's always been rather skinny. Some people are just like that. She attributed the recent weight loss to the death of her mother. They were very close. And while I think she could definitely afford to gain 10-20lbs, again, she's always been skinny (and did have an eating disorder in the past - again, in the '90s, people!) so I wouldn't be surprised if that never happened.

Kudos to Dr Drew for calling Angelina Jolie's bluff. She's very obviously mentally (not just emotionally) unstable. Brad Pitt's got one crazy one on his hands -- the ultimate punishment for humiliating his wife the way he did. No woman deserves that. This so-called glamor couple try to whitewash the adultery and the hurt they caused others, hiding behind noble causes, using orphans and good-willed, true humanitarians to shield their shameful deeds. Truly despicable. I hope the public wakes up soon enough to see them -- especially Jolie -- for what they really are.

Why does everyone seam to think its okay to constantly judge her? She has a past like so many others do but thats what it is, a PAST. She is dont with that part of her life and is done with drungs, She does not even let Brad smoke around her and the kids. As for her skinny appearance, She lost her mom and was in alot of pain, not only was she her mother, but her best friend and confidant. She took it real hard like so many do. Alot of people dont each alot when they are stressed or they do just the opposite. Give her a brake, she is a wonderful mother, her kids are happy, her man is happy and she deserves to be happy too.

It has been my experience that people who work in the field of addictions have a proclivity for diagnosing public figures with whom they have never had any personal or professional contact. I applaud the good doctor. He calls it like he sees it. I'm not too concerned with the fact that she could still be dabbling in drugs (the nannies care for the children most of the time anyway). I do find it disturbing that she has never sought out professional help from a therapist for her psychological issues. She has admitted to the fact that she uses her roles in movies to help her overcome emotional problems. That's NOT healthy. She should NOT be raising kids, especially with her mentality and unhealthy outlook on life. In her mind everything that has to do with boundaries,rules, discipline, stability... is considered "repressive" in her mind. That's a scary thought, when you consider she has 6 kids to raise. I can't even believe Brad would choose such a nut to birth his children!

Remember the saying let him or her without any sin cast the first stone. I have always found people who are so quick to judge others are hiding so much in their closet that rather than clean up their own life and shine a bright light on their on way of living it's so much easier to accuse and shame others. Sounds like so much jealously to me that here is a woman (Angelina) who has lived life and loved so well that on her death bed she will not be either bitter nor have any regretts!

The good doctor is right. Angelina Jolie shows classic traits of narcissistic personality disorder and suppressed psychosis, where she exploits others to boost herself. She is a very, very disturbed woman, and her drug/brotherly incest/sadistic past is consistent with self- and other-destructive behavior. This one is a time bomb waiting to go off. It's a shame she's now donned the guise of a humanitarian, adopted children to hoodwink the public. This is first-class fakery. How do we know that? Watch for the lack of consistency in her life: For someone who claims to have compassion for mankind, she shows no qualms about stealing someone's husband. Her well-known outbursts and erratic behavior are also traits of someone who's emotionally unstable. Those near her should be careful, and she definitely is no role model.

Please. This lie about her being on heroin is really beyond the pale. She has had to submit repeated medical exam results because of her adoptions and people on heroin do not have flawless skin and hair. She exhibits no sign of heroin abuse. Experimenting with heroin by snorting, while not healthy, is not the same as shooting it. No one, including Jolie, as said it was anything more than dabbling wth drugs. Those people certainly can walk away from it and they do. Dr. Drew has been making a number of very reckless statements [for money no doubt] which leads me to believe he's got some problems that need money to fuel - debts, drugs, whatever - and he is risking a lot to wh.ore himself out like this. Someone is going to sue him.

Why are you talking about Oprah Regarding the article, it would be clear to anyone who actually looked at photos of this serial adopter that her pupils are either very dilated even in front of flashbulbs, or overly pinned, which would indicate narcotic use. The constant changing of personnas, loss of weight- she was skeletal while filming Wanted-the posters have been photoshopped to make her arm look more normal. Dr. Drew is right-you do not just stop using drugs without intervention. Her grandiose thinking and continued addiction to children and risk taking is very worrying. She shows no signs of having done the work required to overcome her previous dangerous behaviors, and this makes me concerned for the little ones she has collected around her. The media doesnt seem to comment on how bizarre it is to have six children in a relationship barely three years old. To anyone with knowledge of addiction, this would be a red flag.
