Apparently the reason for the no-show is because Brad isn’t nominated personally for his role in Inglourious Basterds. Angie’s stylist said last night, "They're not going because he's not nominated individually. Inglourious Basterds is, but not him."
Brad’s manager confirmed the news this morning, saying they won’t be walking the red carpet. It seems strange since Brad is very tight with Basterds director Quentin Tarantino.
Perhaps they’re busy with other projects right now to attend the lesser of the award shows—Angelina has been busy shooting Salt, while Brad is gearing up for whatever role it is that requires him having a god-awful goatee.
One thing’s for sure—Jennifer Aniston is breathing a sigh of relief! She’s presenting at the Globes, and was probably hoping her ex wouldn’t show. Last year’s Oscars was just a tad too close for comfort.
Despite not having Brangelina, we can look forward to lots of other A-listers presenting at this year’s show, including Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Colin Farrell, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Matthew Fox, and Mickey Rourke.
