Angelina Jolie's PSA for World Refugee Day

June 18, 2008

Angelina Jolie
The worlds sexiest humanitarian Angelina Jolie recorded a public service announcement for World Refugee Day to help raise awareness about the plight of millions of people at risk, reports People magazine.

"They have survived war, they have survived displacement, they have survived rape, they have survived hunger and disease," says Jolie, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency. "For those who have survived and for those who did not, we are thinking of you on this day."

I can't even take that video clip seriously. Just hearing her voice on it is laughable. I feel for the refugees ( really I do) but why haven't we heard her step up even once and say something uplifting about the displaced Katrina victims or the devastation in Iowa recently? NOTHING. This is why I can't stand her - she must forget she lives in the US. There is nothing wrong with feeding the hungry, opening orphanages in other countries, building schools, etc. but how about you start worrying about the people in your own backyard first? All the money those two slobs make in the US and they barely give shit to the unfortunate here in the states. No one has even seen Pitt in New Orleans in months! So much for his little project. He's too busy buying shitty expensive furniture ! They are huge hypocrites.
