Angelina Jolie's Indian Welcoming?

The Pitt-Jolie’s are in India and it seems like the country has opened its arms to this Hollywood couple. Angelina Jolie told People magazine,"We deeply appreciate the warm welcome we have received from the people of Pune, India, where we are filming A Mighty Hear. We are excited to have this chance for our children to learn about India's wonderful culture and history."

The movie is being produced by Pitt's Plan B production company and Angelina is taking the lead role. Angelina will play Mariane Pearl, the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, in the film version of Mariane Pearl's book, A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl. Daniel Pearl was abducted and murdered by Islamic extremists in Pakistan in early 2002.

The Brangelina Bunch had taken up residence at the city's Le Meridian hotel. Sources say the couple has been chased by photographers, cameramen and reporters when they took a 20 minute ride on a motorized rickshaw yesterday. When traffic signals slowed their escape, security men travelling in a separate rickshaw were forced to jump out and surround the couple's vehicle to limit the press intrusion. Two fans on a motorbike skidded and fell on the busy road while also tailing the couple. Both were uninjured.

Security for the couple has been tight since their arrival and on saturday a security guard protecting the family was reportedly filmed manhandling a British photographer. Two Indian journalists have also complained about the treatment they received at the hands of the unnamed man.
