At the ripe old age of 37, Angelina Jolie is going to retire. So, no possibility for a Lara Croft: Tomb Raider sequelthen? Damn.
Angelina told Channel 4 news, “I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home.”
Teenage years, but those are the easiest years! Teens don’t like their parents anyways and you just have to give them $20 and drop them off at the mall for 4 hours. See? Easy.
But I digress, Angelina continues: “I have enjoyed being an actress. I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences…but f it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children. I wake up in the morning as a mum and I turn on the news like everybody else and I see what's happening and I want to be part of the world in a positive way.”
She’s going to save the world in real life more and do less of things like The Tourist, is what she’s trying to say. I’m totally okay with that.
Though she did add, “I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it’s a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it.”
So we might see her every once in a while? She does have Kung Fu Panda 3 slated to release in 2016, so we’ve got a few years before she hides away in her French chateau surrounded by all 100 of her children.
