Angelina Jolie: Brad Pitt Makes Me 'Feel Confident'

This year, Angelina Jolie made a serious directorial debut. Her first time behind the camera, and Jolie’s film, In the Land of Blood and Honey is already nominated for a Golden Globe.

Hollyscoop talked to Angelina at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. When asked whether husband Brad Pitt gave her any advice about directing, Angelina said:

“It wasn’t as much advice as he just gave me the confidence to say that, you know, that you care about this…he just supported me and made me feel confident.”

Brad and Angelina are quite possibly the most-watched couple on the red carpet, as they always manage to look stunning. We don’t call ‘em a Hollywood power couple for nothing! So, with all that pressure, exactly how does Angelina de-stress during awards season?

“I don’t take it that seriously,” Jolie said. “You know, I know we should all just be proud of our work, and not take and hope to see friends and congratulate them for their work and you know.”

Speaking of congratulations, Brad has been sweeping the nominations this award season, and his work in Moneyball already has Oscar buzz.

“I am of course extremely proud of him,” Jolie said. “I see him, especially on the films he’s done that are being acknowledged, I saw how hard he worked, and I know how much it means to him so I’m very, very happy.”

Hollyscoop asked Angelina whether she’d be excited to see her husband win an Oscar.

“Sure!” Jolie exclaimed.
