Angelina Jolie has literally turned into Wonderwoman! Although the actress is busy with her own children and her film, the humanitarian still finds time help the needy.
The Goodwill Ambassador went on a two-day visit to the Indian capital of New Delhi where the actress spent time listening to Sikh children playing religious music at the Khalsa Diwan Welfare Society. Afghan refugees of the Sikh faith run the organization for other refugees.
There are over 9,500 Afghan refugees under the direct care of the UN refugee agency in India. The children are directed to learn English and computer skills, which can promote opportunities for their future.
Angelina also met with a refugee woman from Myanmar in the one-room home she shares with her three children. The woman, one of the 1,750 refugees from Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) is under the care of UNHCR in India. She told Angie that they had fled after Burma’s military government arrested her husband.
