Amy Winehouse's father-in-law was involved in a serious accident that may leave him paralyzed.
Blake's father Lance Fielder was racing his bicycle during circuit training near his home in Leicestershire, England, when he crashed his bike and flew over its handlebars. He then spent three hours lying unnoticed in a ditch.
When he was eventually spotted, he was air-lifted to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, England, where he underwent emergency surgery on for a spinal injury.
Wino and her incarcerated Blake are both said to be "deeply shocked and upset" after hearing of the accident.
Blake's mother, who is a nurse, says, "At the moment, he's paralyzed but it is too early to say if he will be permanently paralyzed. I was really worried. After calling the police I went out looking for him. By sheer fluke a lady in a tractor had seen his bicycle and spotted him lying in a ditch."
It's unfortunate for the Fielder family that Blake is blasted out of his mind in jail and Amy is so high she can hardly remember how to spell her own name. We wish the family the best during this difficult time.
