Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch is grieving the only way he knows how—by spending time at Amy’s London home. Yesterday he was generous enough to hand out some of Amy’s clothes to grieving fans outside her home.
Some fans have spent most of days outside of Amy’s Camden home writing her notes, bringing her flowers and holding vigils, and Mitch thought her most loyal fans deserve a piece of Amy.
On Tuesday Mitch told the crowd: "These are Amy's T-shirts. This is what she would have wanted – for her fans to have her clothes.
"Please keep listening to her music. God bless Amy Winehouse."
Fan Brigitte Pividal – who was given a red vest – said: "I have been coming here every day since she died and I didn't expect this. I will cherish this for the rest of my life."
Meanwhile, Rabbi Frank Hellner ,who performed her ceremony on Tuesday is already talking to the press about Amy. He told the Daily Mirror:
"She was on a course of self-destruction. Although she was fighting at the end and thought she had prevailed, it had gone too far. She was a frail little girl. I think it was too much for her body and she succumbed."
