Amy Winehouse to Spend New Years Eve in Hospital

Amy Winehouse will reportedly spent her New Years Eve in a hospital because she's not well enough to be released.

Wino allegedly spent most of her Christmas holiday binge drinking alone and now she's battling a "chest infection." Oh Amy, will you ever learn?

A source said: “Amy is in a bit of a state at the moment, she’s feeling very sad and lonely. She is also extremely emotional. She’s spent a lot of time over Christmas at home on her own drinking.

"Amy’s been battling an acute chest infection for weeks and it’s really starting to take a toll on her health," added the source.

Binge drinking isn't the only thing that's upset her family. They're reportedly furious over the fact that she's rekindled her romance with her junkie ex husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

A friend explained: “The last week has been a massive setback for Amy who was really turning a corner. Everyone in her camp is shocked by what has happened...The new year isn't getting off to the best start but Amy is determined and she'll keep looking forward."

Will Amy ever learn? Doubt it. But we hope her father has enough influence in her life to convince her that reconciling with Blake is like having a death wish. Get well soon Amy!

Surely, nobody can believe she's ever going to make it? Sadly, countless other celebs have, over the years, followed the same route to self destruction. Alcoholism is only a way of disguising the main problems - in her case the weening off drugs, and her continual lost little girl emotional neediness. She's now reached an age when life needs some real meaning, to be able to conquer it. Her 'glory' years and talent are on the wane. How many more times must'too much, too soon' be carved on peoples gravestones?

That is what happens with people with drug problems. Cleaning-up is the only way out.
