Amy Winehouse Pleads Not Guilty to Assault Charges

Amy Winehouse had to face the music in court today where she was scheduled to appear on charges of common assault after she allegedly punched a fan.

Wino, who was accompanied by her father Mitch, plead not guilty to the charges that stemmed back from an incident that took place last September (08).

Fan Sherene Flash claimed Wino punched her in the face during the End of Summer Ball in London after she asked for a photograph with the singer.

Flash claims Winehouse punched her in the eye and ran away, screaming: "Life can't go on. I can't do this any more." Well if that isn't the definition of sane, we don't know what is.

Of course Winehouse is denying the entire incident and is claiming innocence. During the quick hearing at London's City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, a hearing she was late for, she only spoke to confirm her name and enter a not guilty plea. She's due back in court at a later date.
