As we
reported yesterday,
Amy Winehouse was rushed to the hospital. Amy’s record company Island descried she was being treated from “severe exhaustion”. That was the sugarcoated version and here is the real scoop on what went wrong. The
UK Sun
claims that the “rehab” singer collapsed because she had a drug overdose yesterday.
The semi-conscious singer was rushed to the hospital by her husband Blake Fielder-Civil and a girl pal. When Amy reached the reception desk, her legs buckled and she fell to the floor with a shriek. At that point Amy was rushed for an emergency treatment which doctors gave her an adrenaline shot and her stomach was pumped.
The 23-year-old, has admitted using marijuana and cocaine and has been boozing heavily recently. Amy had to pull out of several gigs and one close pal reveals how everyone around the singer is concerned about her health. “We’ve been terrified something like this would happen for months.Amy has lost the plot and her partying is out of control. We are praying this is the wake-up call she needs.”
Amy was due to sing at festivals in Norway and Denmark over the next few days. But last night both appearances were cancelled. She is due to support the Rolling Stones in Germany on Monday. No word if Amy will be performing her hit song rehab at these gigs or actually checking into rehab.
