As fans continue to mourn the loss of Amy Winehouse, her father Mitch and mother Janice are devastated and just want some answers.
According to Amy’s rep Chris Goodman, her body was found Saturday by a security guard who has been hired to look after her.
"She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep, and when he went to wake her he found she wasn't breathing," Goodman tells TMZ.
"He called the emergency services straight away. He was very shocked. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed."
Just one day before her death Amy saw a doctor as part of her routine checkup and the doctor says he saw nothing wrong with her. There were no drugs found near her body at the time of her death. And that same night she reportedly played her drums so loud, it disrupted her neighbors.
Her father Mitch has been at her London home since she was announced dead, which has now become a tribute to Amy. "I can't tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier for us," he said of the tributes. "Amy was about one thing, and that was love. Her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends, and to you guys as well," he told fans gathered in Camden Square.
On Sunday her grieving parents released a statement saying they have "been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives. We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time."
Autopsy results could be released as early as this afternoon so stay tuned!
