Amy Winehouse Cleared of Assault Charges

Amy Winehouse is off the hook! She was cleared Friday of her charges on allegedly assaulting a fan. Amy showed up to court today in the City of Westminster and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Winehouse had been accused of striking dancer Sherene Flash, who had approached her, asking for a photograph at a charity ball in London in September.

According to People, Chief Magistrate Timothy Workman delivered the verdict to a very serious Amy, saying he "cannot be sure that this was not an accident. The charge is therefore dismissed and defendant discharged."

Amy’s father Mitch told reporters, “We’re delighted.”

Looks like Amy got lucky this time! But hopefully those dark days are behind her, and she can focus on being a new and productive woman now! Maybe she should celebrate by heading in that studio…
