“Old Jokes” was the theme of the night last night as NBC celebrated Betty White’s 90th birthday in a televised Gala special entitled “Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl.”
It was basically geriatric Golden Globes, that being said, it was one of the funniest nights on television I’d seen in a while.

TIME magazine just released their annual 100 most influential people list and it’s full of young stars.
Biebs will join celebrities including Mark Wahlberg, Bruno Mars, Chris Colfer, Blake Lively, Sting and Amy Poehler on the list.
And while crazy Charlie Sheen has not been included (no surprise there!), Biebs admitted the former ‘Two and a Half Men” star would be his choice for the number one spot.
Biebs explained: “[It] has got to be Charlie Sheen. He’s got a million followers in one day on twitter. I’ve never seen that happen before. Plus, he’s got tiger blood, and he’s always winning.”
Someone needs to give Biebs the memo—Charlie stopped #winning a while ago.

According to People, the hilarious star of Parks and Recreation gave birth to Abel James this morning.
Her rep issued a statement saying, "Amy, Will, Abel and Archie are all healthy and resting comfortably.”
The newborn weighs 7lbs. 13 ounces, and joins his older brother Archie, who was born in October of 2008. How cute! Those two are sure to be best buds—and have great senses of humor like their parents!
Congrats to the cute family!

The show drew in 6.8 million viewers, which is what 30 Rock averages for their season. It’s not quite on par with The Office, though the two shows share the same documentary-style camera work.
We were laughing the way we do during Jack Donaghy’s soliloquies on 30 Rock, but there’s definite potential. And just given Amy’s body of work in the past, we’ll give it a few more weeks.

Good news for those of you who love the office setup, because Amy’s new show will have the same documentary feel, as far as the cameras go. Her character, Leslie Knope, is a mid-level bureaucrat in Parks and Recreation in Pawnee, Indiana. Her goal is to improve her own city, while also getting one step closer to her ultimate goal: becoming President. Another touch from The Office is Rashida Jones, who plays a local nurse.
Amy says of her new character, "I think in most comedies the lead character suffers from not being self-aware. Leslie is an optimist, and she's really ambitious, she's hoping the place she is now is not that place she is going to stay. I think we're supposed to like her, but I do think she decides, she wants to run with the big boys, and you have to take the hits. It's going to be very easy to humiliate and be mean to me on this show. It's going to make you feel good. You'll see people be mean to me, you'll be satisfied."
Co-creator Greg Daniels says, this is not a grandiose enterprise: "If the setting is very ordinary, the characters can shine against that. I'm interested in doing character comedy. We're keeping the background really plain so the humor of the actors is set off nicely."
Well it works for The Office! There’s nothing plainer than Scranton, Pennsylvania, and it’s one of the greatest shows on television.

Annie Leibovitz seems quite taken with Tina, as she’s going to be photographing her again for the cover of Vanity Fair. Just last April, Fey graced the cover with Sarah Silverman and Amy Poehler with the posed question, “Who says women aren’t funny?”
Now, with Tina’s spot-on Sarah Palin impression, she’s won over the hearts of America, And VF wants her back. This time, Tina won’t get any help from the other funny ladies.
She’s holding her own as cover girl. A source at Radar says, “Tina was joking around about how she was scared to work with Leibovitz alone this time.”
If you ask us, it should be the other way around! Tina’s on top of the world right now!
