The 2011 Academy Award nominations were announced today in Beverly Hills, and one thing that was certain is that The King's Speech reigned this year.
The King's Speech led all films with 12 nominations, with True Grit and Inception close behind with 10 and eight, respectively.
Mark Wahlberg was surprisingly left off the Best Actor nominations list, but his The Fighter co-stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Melissa Leo all got nominations.
Full Oscar Nominations List
Mila Kunis also got snubbed for Best Supporting Actress for Black Swan, but I wasn't too surprised about that one.
Other notable snubs: Michael Douglas for Wall Street 2; Andrew Garfield for The Social Network; Matt Damon for True Grit; Ryan Gosling for Blue Valentine; Julianne Moore for The Kids Are All Right; Halle Berry for Frankie & Alice; Paul Giamatti for Barney's Version (he won the Golden Globe).
Best Actress nominee Natalie Portman told Hollyscoop earlier this month, "It's a really big honor to have people respond so positively to something we all put so much heart into and so much love into."
Fellow Best Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence is still in awe of all the praise she's been getting for her role in Winter's Bone. She told Hollyscoop at the Golden Globe awards she's in shock about it and she's "still wrapping [her] head around the Golden Globes [nomination]."
Christopher Nolan was snubbed for the intricately directed Inception, but the movie got 10 nominations total. It's the second time he was snubbed for Best Director--the first being for The Dark Knight.
Probably the biggest surprise of the morning was see Javier Bardem's work in Biutiful nominated for Best Actor.
When asked about a possible nomination at the Palm Springs Film Festival earlier this month Javier told Hollyscoop that his good pal Julia Roberts held a screening for him and is rooting for his nomination. "I think that she is very generous--very generous of what she did, which is throwing a screening for me she is a great actress. I am really deeply grateful to her for what she did."
Who will you be rooting for come February 27th? And who are you upset got left off the list?

Check out their great reactions below...
“I’m very honored by the HFPA nomination, and to be included in this group of actresses I so admire. The experience of filming “Black Swan” with Darren Aronofsky and our incredible crew is already the most fulfilling experience of my career. The audience appreciation of the film is only furthering how grateful and proud I am to be part of the film.”
--Natalie Portman, Black Swan
"To be selected with these extraordinary nominees is an honor and boy was I ready for some good news!"
--Michael Douglas
“This nomination is an honor and I am thrilled to share it with my friend, my co-conspirator, and my favorite dance partner, Ryan Gosling. Thank you so much to The Hollywood Foreign Press, The Weinstein Company and of course to the inestimable Derek Cianfrance, whose vision led and sustained us all.”
--Michelle Williams, Blue Valentine
“I am very thankful to the HFPA for this honor. The prestige of the nominations draws attention to independent films like Black Swan and I think helps get these small films made. I am also so thrilled for my actors Natalie and Mila who gave me their spirits to film and risked losing toe nails every day.”
--Darren Aronofsky, Black Swan
"I am very grateful to the HFPA. I also would like to thank them for acknowledging Michelle Williams for her incredible performance. Without the 12 years of director Derek Cianfrance’s unwavering vision and commitment none of this would have been possible. I share this nomination with both of them."
--Ryan Gosling, Blue Valentine
“What an exciting morning for our film, especially when you consider what a terrific year it was for movies. Thank you Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this honor and also for recognizing Mark, Melissa, Christian and David’s great work. I am deeply proud of the film and to be honored for it is icing on the cake.”
--Amy Adams, The Fighter
“I’m truly grateful to be recognized by the Hollywood Foreign press for this film, and euphoric to be in the company of so many of my colleagues.”
--Colin Firth, The King's Speech
“I’m especially grateful to the HFPA for this honor and I’m excited to see 127 HOURS being recognized this awards season. I’m happy for Danny Boyle and his team and our DP’s Quique and Anthony who were there with me down in the canyon! I am so proud of the film and that Aron Ralston’s story has been well received!”
--James Franco, 127 Hours
“It took more than four years to get our little movie off the ground, and to be recognized for my work in a film that means so much to me is truly such an honor. Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press for your continued support.”
--Nicole Kidman, Rabbit Hole
“Playing an Australian commoner called upon to teach an reluctant English King some life lessons for me was fascinating in itself. To have it embraced by American audiences and to be so honored by the HFPA only endorses how global this story has become. Seeing a small scale project play into an international arena makes this all the more worthwhile. I’m very proud to be a part of this film and thrilled for my colleagues who were also nominated in such illustrious company.”
--Geoffrey Rush, The King's Speech

The first time mom, who is engaged to actor Darren Le Gallo, gave birth over the weekend in LA and both mom and daughter are doing great.
A source told website Radaronline: "Everyone is doing fine. It's very exciting for Amy, Darren and their families.
"They have a large, extended family and all their brothers and sisters are relieved and thrilled that this moment has come for them both."
Amy recently admitted that she couldn't wait to find out the sex of her baby because she's "too impatient."
She revealed: "I'm too impatient to wait for a surprise. We'll probably find out. I thought about waiting and I just don't think that's really my personality. It's not about planning a nursery, it's more about I just want to know. I want to be able to relate in that way. That's what works for me, but I totally believe in whatever works for the individual."
Amy and fiancé had to push back her wedding date so she could give birth and go on maternity leave. She said: "We actually had a date, and then we had to push it because I took a part. I actually had to get permission and I called him and said, 'We're actually going to have to push the date.' Now that I have the time off we'll definitely be planning it."
Congrats to the happy couple! Can't wait to see photos of her adorable daughter.

Amy graces the May issue of W magazine, on newsstands April 21. In the issue she talks about her recent Oscar nomination, growing up on a tight budget, and how she almost choose a job at The Gap over acting. Here are some highlights from the interview:
Amy on her Doubt Oscar nomination: “I just was so reflective the whole evening on how I came to be sitting in that room. At one point my fiancé was like, ‘You feel distant.’ And I said, ‘I am! I can’t even talk to you!’ I was there at the Oscars thinking, ‘What if I never left the Gap?’”
Amy on trying to be cool in high school: “I’d hated school. The people were indifferent toward me, and that’s the worst thing in my mind. We were defined by the clothes we bought at the mall. If I didn’t get things on clearance, I wasn’t getting them. I would make fake Guess jeans by buying a cheaper brand with a triangle label and then cutting it off so you could still see the triangle outline. It’s so sad that I did that! But I really wanted to be one of those girls.”
Amy on not having much money growing up: “If I didn’t get things on clearance, I wasn’t getting them,” she says. “I would make fake Guess jeans by buying a cheaper brand with a triangle label and then cutting it off so you could still see the triangle outline. It’s so sad that I did that! But I really wanted to be one of those girls.”
Amy on looking much younger than 34: “I ordered a glass of champagne on the plane today, and the flight attendant asked, ‘Are you old enough to drink?’ I was like, ‘I’m old enough to worry about being infertile, so yes!’”
