Mir Money, proudly representing his hometown of Philladelphia, was buzzed mid-act by Stern (and then by Sharon Osbourne)—instantly crushing both his confidence and dreams of pre-pubescent super stardom.
Despite a lackluster performance, Money had already won the audience (and America over) by chatting up Howie Mandel—claiming “himself”

Both. Let me explain.

They are promoting the show as Howard Stern is bringing “edge” and “controversy” back to America’s Got Talent.

During Season 5, 10-year-old singing sensation Jackie Evancho auditioned on YouTube, and then entered the competition during semi-finals, and eventually won the entire show. Remember Jackie Evancho? The tiny little girl with the incredible opera voice? Yeah, your mom asked for her album for Christmas.

The shock-jock is going to Primetime television? I don’t think the FCC is prepared for this.
After Piers Morgan threw in the towel as a judge on the talent show, that left the judging spot next to Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel wide open.
Strangely enough this show likes to fill it’s judging panel with people who have a very little eye for talent other than being good at talking.

Soulful singer Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. took home the victory. I would've voted on him based on his almost-Star Wars name alone.
"Thank you so much for just believing in me," Landau said, upon hearing his name announced at the end of the show. "It's been a long, hard journey, ever since I was a kid. And it's finally paying off."
So what does he get? Well, he instantly becomes a millionaire—taking home $1 million, and he also gets a Las Vegas headlining contract. He'll have to compete with the Jabbawockeez, but I think he'll be successful.

The Hoff can't barely keep up with his obligations for America's Got Talent, but he's reportedly going to start working on another project.
He said, “I am proud that I was part of making ‘America’s Got Talent’ the number one rated show for the past four summers.
“It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly.”
A statement from the program's broadcasters, NBC, said: “David’s been an integral part of ‘America’s Got Talent’ and we are sad to see him go.”
A replacement hasn't been named yet, but there's a sea of hosts out there that can probably do a better job than him--and they won't show up to work drunk.
And while the Hoff may be staying mum about his new show, his daughter suggested that he's signing up for a new TV show on A+E. Hasselhoff’s daughter Hayley wrote on her twitter blog: “The Hasselhoffs signed the deal with A + E… Get ready for it.”

“It was a sensational performance,” said one audience member. “She actually moved many to tears.”
25 million people watched Boyle's performance on the show and let's just say that's a lot of people to be watching that show!
“Expect her album to go straight to No.1,” said a music industry insider.
