The American Idol Title Goes To.......

American Idol

Did you see this one coming or what? Jordin Sparks was crowned the American Idol today. The 17 year old also broke a record as the youngest Idol as she prevailed over beatboxer Blake Lewis.

Jordin’s Tuesday night performance wowed the show’s judges and viewers who gave her majority of the record 74 million votes cast. The finale pulled out the stops and the stars such as Gwen Stefani, Smokey Robinson, Tony Bennett, Bette Midler and Green Day.

Other show highlights included seeing past "American Idol" winners perform such as Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. There were some wacky momments as well, from Sanjaya trying to sing to Ryan Seacrest making out with “Big Bird”.

i think jordan has a beautiful, powerful voice she deserved to win. but i like blakes style and may check into his album when it comes out.

yawn. i died seeing someone like blake in the finals when he's got nothing - voice, talent, charisma. jordin surely deserve this win. the very system that gave us jordin also gave us sanjaya. so, maybe its time to stop the show.

i slept thru jordin's performances and watched the performance with blake and doug e fresh over and over. he is a true performer and american idol. she is the better singer but i wont buy an album or go to her concert. she made Ruben look good.

Blake a "loser"? Oh yes, as the second best of more than 100,000 with millions of fans ... However, the real American Idol this season was Melinda Doolittle, not little Jordin.

I'm a bit disappointed. She has a lovely voice, but a lot of people do. She needs something more. I like Blake because he's got a persona. However, the trend has been for the runner-up to do much better, so I'm happy in the end:)

I thought the finale was kind of a bore. Other then Gwen there were no really big younger singers for guests. I didn't really care which one won this year. As far as Blake goes he's not that original. Justin Timberlake can beatbox just as good as him and he sings better and can also dance. Jordin was the better singer.

jordin soooo deserved to win blake is soooo 50ies. he is like totally not even hot. jordin is way hotter. Blake should just go home to china and leave us americans in peace from his crappy singing. Or he could just go back to he thirties cuz that is where he belongs... in americas worst time. he's got a voice MADE for billboards.
