Paula started things off by saying, “We tried four judges before and it doesn’t work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show.”
Kara didn’t seem too pleased with that comment, and told Access Hollywood, “Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments, and hurt that she did not address them to me in person.”
But we had to take Paula’s side after seeing Adam Lambert’s brilliant performance of Mad World get cut off due to the lengthy notes from the judges for the other contestants. Thank goodness for Tivo!
But clearing the air today, Simon went on Ellen and revealed Kara will be back next year. He told Ellen, "I think certainly next year everyone's going to be back.”
But Simon still seems a little annoyed at the lack of screen time that means for him. He said, "There's less time for us to talk. One week literally we couldn't talk, so 10 minutes before the show started they said, 'Oh by the way you can't talk for half the show.’ It's rather like saying in a singing competition to the singers, half of you can't sing. It was just crazy."
Guess everyone’s going to have to find a way to get along! Maybe they should put their differences aside for the sake of the real stars of the show—the contestants!
