David VS. David!

Finally, the battle of the David's is here and we are front row watching the action. As the votes are being tallied for tonight's results show, lets visit last night's performances worthy for us to chew on! The sensible chosen one for winner is David A. but Cookie still tugs at everyone's heart. We can all be relieved by reminding ourselves that both these singers will have a career post AI and really the two winners have already been chosen!

David Cook sang his heart out, literally. He charmed the crown with his first song "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Look For". His second with "Dream Big" brought out the big guns in an electric guitar. But his best was his third song with "The World I Know" where his performance was mellow and he started to cry. Very different song choice. Although the judges thought it was a wrong song choice, David said this was about progression, so why would he do something he's already done? Well played, Cookie.

David Archuleta on the other hand brought it home for poppa! His first song choice was "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" and he totally rocked it and the crowd loved him. His second choice-- surprise, surprise, Archie chose a ballad, "In This Moment". But, he's a smart little tween star because he's playing to his tween fan base who will swoon. And for his grand finale, no surprises here since we've already heard it. It's a fantastic version of the song "Imagine". Simon (who strangely got most of the applause last night, the crowd loves him!) thinks he came out to win and we witnessed a knockout. Archie vs. Cookie....  What do you think? Will Cookie die hard fans pull through for him, or will Archie be our new heavyweight??
