Another Idol Out - American Idol

Although she seemed to have a solid placement for the finale, Melinda Dolittle was booted off 'American Idol' tonight.

Considering the fact that she was the best singer on the show (not to mention Simon's favorite) I'm really surprised she was the one to go home tonight.

"Congratulations to you two. My commiserations, Melinda, 'cause you are one heck of a singer," said a glum Cowell, who covered his face with his hands upon hearing the news.

With Dolittle gone, it clears the way for Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis. Who do you guys think will win?

Let's face it, almost everyone on idol this year sucked! Blake stinks like an old person's poo. Melinda or LaKeisha should have been only two still standing! If J-Lo's big ass can sell records then so can they. Who cares what they weigh...atleast they can sing.

I'm still waiting for somebody to pinch me and tell me I've been in the Twilight Zone for the last 48 hours. Did that no talented little beatboxing clown really make it to the final 2? I can't believe it. Idol has finally lost whatever legitimacy it ever had. Blake's rendition of "You should be Dancing" was appalling. I know Barry Gibb wanted to whip his ass, and poor Maurice was spinning in his grave.

i like blake coz his not the normal singer his diff and i think thats wat this world needs new materials every rock band sound the same every soul singer sings the same songs every pop group look and sound the same and dont last so i dont think jordan is good enough i rekon blake will sell more albums and concerts and i think he will win it coz old grannies and young girls vote more then anyone else so tuff luck jordan u uptight cow haha

Blaker Girl, you must be Blake in drag!!! He couldn't sing his way out of a mugging if a thug pointed a gun to his head and said: I'll shoot if you don't sing...and sing great!!!. Well, if that happened Blake would be a goner!!! By The Way, Tinny Tim sang, played his own instruments, wrote his own songs, mixed I'm sure, and arranged his own stuff...and yet, he was still a hack...and so is Blake!!! The difference??? Tinny Tim and his fans knew he was a hack...that was the fun of the joke which was Tinny Tim. However, Blake (the new William Hung) is a hack, but he, and his idiot followers each have failed to notice...that as the King of his own fantasies...Blake is actually the real life King Without Cloths On!!!

Anyone who doesn't think Blake is talented is an idiot. He has a good voice, he plays instruments, he writes, mixes and arranges his own music. He's original, he's entertaining. I always look forward to his next performance. FINALLY America got it right...well almost! Here's hoping that Blake wins and we finally have a WINNER who becomes the most popular afterwards, unlike the usual runners up! (if Melinda had won, no one would purchase her album.)

The final nail in the coffin for AI. The only true talent in the top 12 gone before the final? The dumbing down of America continues.Can no longer take this program seriously, it certainly isn't about singing and talent any longer. Everyone connected with AI should be embarrassed.

Amended: Blake sucks so badly it's shocking that he was even allowed on the show in the first place. And people were giving Sanjaya a bad time for his vocals??? At least Sanjaya could perform and interact with the audience. Blake is simply a hack with a whinny voice who just stands there, show after show, looking dumb. This guy would have never gotten past the first round of the Making The Band aiditions or Star Search...let alone The Gong Show. Seriously, this guy is no better than the folks that people laugh at during the Idol Auditions. You know, the freaks and wackos that show-up and sing like wet cats being chopped to death by an ax...well, that's Blake...the blonde Willam Hung!!! The producers and judges on the show have falsely hyped this guy so much, that many of the viewers were duped into thinking that he actually has some talent. Now, all the phony over the top hype has become like the chickens coming home to roost for the American Idol hype machine.
