Anoop and Lil Rounds Voted Off in Idol Double Elimination

And it’s down to five! American Idol voted off two contestants last night, to make up for Matt Giraud’s save the week prior. It was no surprise that the two with the least amount of votes were Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds.

Neither of them seemed too perturbed by last night’s outcome, as Anoop exclaimed that he now gets to return to the awesomeness that is UNC Chapel Hill. Looks like there’s going to be a new man on campus! And as for Lil, she gets to return home to be mommy to her three kids. Bet her husband is happy about that!

That leaves us with Danny Gokey, Matt Giraud, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, and Allison Iraheta, who was in the bottom three last night. Allison has been finding herself on the stools pretty often, and we could be looking at a finale between four guys after next week!

So there’s your motivation, Allison! Tune in next Tuesday, when the theme is “Rat Pack” standards. Taylor Hicks will take the stage on elimination night. Who is next to go home??
