'Teen Mom' Star Amber Portwood Headed to Rehab

A star has been born. Teen Mom's Amber Portwood is headed to rehab in California.

After last week's cry for help, Portwood ended up in the hospital. After receiving a call from Grimace baby daddy Gary Shirley, police found Portwood semiconscious in her home, and she later admitted she had taken pills.

Apparently, Portwood told Shirley she was having a hard time in life and planned to hang herself. Rope was reportedly found at her home.

Now, Portwood says, "I am going to rehab for anger control issues and depression. I'm on medication at the moment to just help me relax. I'm in a very vulnerable state right now and I know people want a lot of answers."

Portwood has been getting mental health help as well.

"Before I go to California I'm pursuing help with a psychiatrist," she said. "My daughter is keeping me strong." Hell of a job for a toddler.

On the show, Amber has battled with her anger issues, even reducing herself to punching her then-boyfriend Shirley in the face. The episode was followed by a statement from MTV that discussed domestic violence.
