Justin Timberlake is a lucky man. He stars alongside beauties Olivia Wilde and Amanda Seyfried in the new thriller In Time. And this isn’t the first time these three have worked together.
“We all worked together on Alpha Dog years ago, so it was kind of a reunion,” Seyfried told Hollyscoop. “It was cute.”
We caught up with the actress at the Premiere for In Time, where Seyfried told us why everyone should see this enthralling film.
“It is thrilling and it’s kind of out of this world,” Seyfried tells HS. “But at the same time it’s so grounded in what we’re dealing with today as a society, that I feel like it will leave you breathless and remind you of the time that we don’t have.”
Obviously, time is a major theme in this flick, hence the title. It takes place in a world where immortality is available, but only to the wealthy, as time is traded as a form of currency. Olivia Wilde plays Justin Timberlake’s mom in the movie. I know, I know. She doesn’t look like she could have a kid that old. But in the movie, the aging gene has been halted at the age of 25.
The trailer introduces us to the intricacies of this world, where Justin trades years for a cup of coffee. A friend then introduces his mother-in-law, wife and daughter, who all look twenty-five. Timberlake’s character sees a dead body on the sidewalk and says, “Another one ran out of time.”
So, as the story goes, Timberlake tries to “crash the system”, with Seyfried as his accomplice. “I can help you get all the time you want,” her character says.
The trailer ends with the line:
“His crime wasn’t taking time, he was giving it away.”
Seyfried turned into a red head for her role in the movie, and the actress told us:
“I sure did have a lot of fun with this movie though and I loved having different hair color…I didn’t have to go home with it, but you know, it’s certainly great to change your look every once in awhile.”
And speaking of getting older, Amanda says when she first got to Hollywood, she didn’t worry about looking young.
“I was just like, I’m so young I don’t have to worry about this. I was like 18, I was like you know, I actually wanted to grow older so I could get pass my acne stage.”
