Don’t start packing up the celebrity corral of stars speaking out on Amanda Bynes because this parade is still unraveling.
Nick Cannon is just the latest entertainer with a connection to the former child star to join this procession.
On Howard Stern’s radio show today, Nick said he always considered Amanda to be “like my little sister.” The two worked together years ago when she was on the Nickelodeon network.
"I worked on Amanda's show when she had her show," Cannon said. "To see someone you'd seen at 9, running around with a snotty nose, and now to see her like that is like, 'Wow, man! That's sad.'"
He’s tried to be more than just a gawker from the sidelines, revealing that he’s actually attempted to get in touch with his former co-star—“I tried to reach out,” Nick said—but never heard back from her.
This won’t be the last time a celeb shares their concern for Amanda. Just days prior, Dr. Drew was among the latest to express his disquiet over the situation.
"It may be time to leave @AmandaBynes alone. She will get help if she wants it & if she needs it, hopefully before serious consequences,” he tweeted.
