Amanda Bynes' Parents Move To LA To Support Troubled Daughter

Mom and dad are joining the party!

With all the headlines and gossip surrounding Amanda Bynes lately, the former Nickelodeon star could really use a shoulder to cry on. Enter her parents, who are moving in to care for their spiraling daughter.

TMZ reports that Amanda’s folks have made a sudden retreat from their Texas home to be with her in these dark times.

According to sources connected to the family, the DUI in April was what triggered the relocation.

From there, her public image only got worse, as she has been charged with two hit-and-runs, spotted smoking a mysterious substance behind the wheel, and caught driving with a suspended license.

On Tuesday, Amanda appeared to have had a total mental breakdown, locking herself in a clothing store dressing room for two hours.

The retired actress was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, California so living in the Los Angeles area won’t necessarily be a first for the parents.

Why it took them five months to catch on has to do with the bad housing market…

Amanda’s parents reportedly put their house in Cedar Park, Texas up for sale, hoping for a quick cash to relocate. But, they reportedly had trouble finding a buyer…

Despite what the sudden move may look like, reports say that the parents are not seeking a conservatorship of her estate.

Instead, the parents – who insist that Amanda is not suffering from any mental issues – will act as nothing more than a support base.

That, and a reminder for Amanda to clean up her room…
