Because there’s nothing more reliable than Amanda Bynes’s Twitter account, let’s make that the first site we read this morning.
Even before CNN and MSNBC.
If you’re expecting another public lashing out against celebs like Rihanna, Chrissy Teigen, or even She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (Courtney Love), you’ll have to wait at least another 33 seconds for an episode like that to compose itself.
Instead she’s putting the attention back on herself. Amanda kept it short and sweet with this one, setting the record straight on her recent behavior, writing, simply:
“I’m Not Crazy”
Can we get that in ALL CAPS, BOLD, **BLINKING 24/7** in skywriting because we’re not sure everyone’s getting that message as loudly and clearly as she wants us to.
Four hours after her self-assertion that her crazy tank is running on empty, her lawyer Richard Hutton spoke to Entertainment Tonight. He said reports over her arrest last Friday were “exaggerated” and that she’s “fine.” Recounting chats he had with Amanda recently, he only describes them as “normal.”
The tweet has been retweeted more than 43,200 times.
