The more you dig into the retired actress’ recent story, the messier it gets.
With multiple hit-and-run charges, a DUI, and facts bleeding into gossip, it’s hard to decide just how crazy Amanda Bynes really is… But, from her side of the fence, everything is just dandy.
Bynes spoke to People over the phone, where she told the outlet that she was “doing amazing.”
"I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line," she said. "I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."
But a source close to the “All That” star isn’t so sure…
“People around Amanda are really concerned about her," the source said. "She tells people she doesn't party or drink. She doesn't realize she has a problem."
Amanda’s DUI trial was bumped up last minute to Wednesday, when her attorney, Rich Hutton, appeared in a Beverly Hills courthouse. She was not required to attend, as it was a misdemeanor charge.
According to the E!, Judge Elden Fox denied a motion from prosecutors to set bail at $50,000.
“Technically, Ms. Bynes is not in violation of order not to drive without a valid driver’s license,” said Fox.
The judge did warn that, if Amanda pushed the limits of the law one more time, she would be forced to pay a much higher bail.
Bynes’ next court appearance for the two hit-and-run charges is currently scheduled for October 29.
