She definitely hasn't been acting because she has not starred in a film since 2007.
Amanda must have realized that her career wasn't going anywhere so she has decided to quit acting at age 24.
"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem," she wrote on her Twitter page. "If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it."
"I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I've #retired," she added.
It's a shame that her career never went anywhere. She was a great actress.

There’s a hell of a lot of people in this country who can relate to that right now!
Bynes plays a go-getter-type. Her character is Sarabeth, a naive Mid-Western girl who often spent nights at the office to get her work done. She then gets exploited unknowingly by her boss.
Amanda joins Tim Peper, Stephanie Lemelin and Baron Vaughn who were previously cast in the pilot.
We think this will be a popular show based on the state of the economy alone. It’s what so many Americans are dealing with at this time, so we give it a thumbs up!

LC dumped him quickly after meeting him, and then he moved on to Holly Montag for a bit, and she even got sick of him.
Doug tried to briefly date outside of The Hills cast, which we’ve now learned has been unsuccessful. He and Amanda Bynes had been spotted canoodling around town for the past two weeks, but we sadly have to report today that she’s dumped him. Tear.
According to Us Weekly, Amanda initiated the break-up. We think it may have come as a little bit of a shock to Dougy, because just last week he was quoted as saying things like this: "Amanda's great - she's an awesome girl. We're having a lot of fun.” And this: "Everything is really good," he went on.
"We were just in the Bahamas, and we spent Christmas together ... everything's really solid."
Not so much. News of the break-up surfaced today. A source close to Amanda told the magazine, "She ended it. She had had enough. Her friends didn't trust him. Everyone thought he was using her for celebrity. He was not good, and she was over it. It was definitely her who ended it."
Poor Doug. At least he has his amazing Hollywood Hills pad to cuddle up in with a tub of Ben & Jerrys. We smell a Doug-inspired dating reality show in his near future.

Bynes was making a left turn on the intersection of Oakwood and Crescent Heights around 2pm when she hit another car, TMZ reports.
The driver of the other car suffered very minor injuries and both parties were "very cooperative." This is Amanda's second car accident this year alone. Maybe a hiring a driver isn't looking so bad after all, huh Amanda?

Were they chasing after Britney? No. Getting away from rainy LA? Maybe. But the real reason stars headed to the desert for the weekend was to hit up the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
High School Musical sweethearts Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens made the crowd cheer as they walked the red carpet, and Zac later joined his Hairspray cast members onstage to accept the award for Best Emsemble. But the real focus of the weekend was on Britney Spears. The stars just couldn't stop talking about it. Here's what some of the stars had to say:
Amanda Bynes: "It's sad. I'm a big fan of her, and I hope she figures out whatever's going on, and I hope she gets better."
Ellen Page: "Everyone just kind of judges her and splatters her business everywhere, and no one ever goes, why is this happening."
It's good to hear that the stars actually feel for Brit, instead of putting her down.

Actress Amanda Bynes can now add fashion designer to her resume. The starlet is the latest celebrity to follow in the footsteps of fashion icons like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss.
Bynes is designing a new line called “Dear” for Steve and Barry’s. SJP just recently launched her very affordable clothing line “Bitten” for the apparel store and now Amanda is doing the same and adding an accessory line.
Last night Amanda Bynes hosted a launch party to celebrate her new venture at Sushi Samba 7 in New York City. We hear the line will be suitable for young girls and their parents as well.
The collection will include 120 items which will all be sold under $20. The line includes a variety of casual clothing from jeans and hoodies to skirts, handbags and accessories. Sounds like a deal right? The best part is that the line will officially launch August 16, 2007. If any of you fashionistas pick up any pieces from her collection let us know what you think of it.

It was a star studded event at the Los Angeles Premiere of HAIRSPRAY held last night at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, CA.
The cast of the movie is star studded all in itself. I’m talking John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Amanda Bynes, Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nikki Blonsky and that’s just to name a few.
If y’all don’t know the film is a remake of the 1988 version of Hairspray. It is about a plump teenager Tracy Turnblad who teaches 1962 Baltimore a thing or two about integration after landing a spot on a local TV dance show.
The film hits theatres July 20. Enjoy the trailer…
