Alyson Hannigan Says She's Bloated, Not Pregnant

So it turns out Alyson Hannigan is pregnant after all…with a junk food baby. Hopefully she doesn’t need an epidural when she gives birth.

Over the Labor Day weekend, Hannigan, her husband, Alexis Denisof, and their two year-old daughter, Satyana were hanging out at the Malibu Chili Cook Off, where Hannigan looked clearly like she was sporting a baby bump.

Then again, it was a chili cook off. You don’t exactly leave those things looking like Gisele Bundchen. Unless, of course, you’re Gisele Bundchen, in which case, screw you.

After seeing the photos, Alyson tweeted:

“NO, I'm not pregnant! I just ate too much carnival food, that time of the month, hurt my back & couldn't suck my gut in, & need 2 do cardio!"

A simple “no” would’ve sufficed. We could’ve gone without knowing you’re on a chili-fueled menstrual cycle.

"And I'm NEVER gonna wear that shirt again!" Hannigan said. She even admitted: "I do LOOK pregnant in that photo!"

So there you have it, the How I Met Your Mother Star is not pregnant. This isn’t the first false baby bump of the year.

Katie Holmes’ rep has been denying pregnancy rumors since 2009. Back in May, Katie was photographed looking a little bulgy—not much, but a little—and it spurred those rumors yet again. Say what you will about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, but they make adorable babies. People want more Suris.

Nicole Richie flipped out when rumors surfaced that she was having another baby. She was photographed leaving the gym, and some speculated that it was a baby bump. To dispel the rumors, Richie showed off her flat stomach on the beach and released the following statement:

“Contrary to recent speculation I am not pregnant. This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity.” She added that, “To publicly point out a change in anyone’s body is mean-spirited and cruel. People’s bodies change and change again.”

I don’t know if a photo of your stomach with a question mark drawn over it constitutes “reporting”, but okay, we get it. You’re not pregnant.

When Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn were dating, the two were photographed jogging, and it looked like ScarJo had put on some weight. Specifically, in the tummy area. Her rep defended her, saying she wasn’t pregnant, blaming it on “the placement of her shirt that is misleading.” They added that, “she was followed and photographed for over 20 minutes and I’m sure there are other photos in the series that show and prove that she is not pregnant.”
