Don’t feel too bad for those shows as One Life to Live has been on air since 1968 and All My Children has been on air since 1970.
Disney/ABC Television President Brian Frons said in a statement: "Each of the shows has touched million and millions of viewers and informed the social consciousness. It has been a privilege to work with the extraordinary teams who brought the residents of Pine Valley and Llanview to life each day, and we thank the cast, crew, producers and most especially the fans for their commitment to the shows through their history."
These two soaps have launched the careers of many Hollywood A-listers.
Ryan Phillippe, Marcia Cross, Tommy Lee and many more got their start on One Life to Live and Kelly Ripa, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michelle Trachtenberg, Josh Duhamel, Christian Slater, Rosie O'Donnell and Amanda Seyfried have all been on All My Children.
One Live to Live’s final episode will air in 2012 as All My Children will air its final episode in September 2011.
