Some celebrities don’t just stop at giving their kids weird names. Some celebrities’ quirky parenting goes beyond that, leaving a lot of us scratching our heads.

Call it bizarre, unconventional, or just plain weird—here are a few celebrity moms who have made headlines for their uncommon parenting behavior.

Alicia Silverstone: Alicia made headlines when she posted a video of herself chewing food and then feeding it mouth to mouth to her son, Bear Blu. "He crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I'm eating," Alicia wrote on her blog.

Alicia Silverstone has posted a video featuring her chewing up food and feeding it to her baby, mouth-to-mouth.

I feel like if you don’t have a beak, this doesn’t need to happen. If your house isn’t made out of a bunch of sticks and random garbage, you probably don’t have to do this.

Birds eat worms and take craps mid-flight, on anything and everything. They are very rude. We probably shouldn’t be using them as models for behavior.

To make your way from the Hollywood D-list to it's esteemed A-list, you have to be selective in your career choices. Some celebs are good at it, others aren't so good, and yet others just get lucky. Some don't really need another career boost, but might be kicking themselves, anyway, after passing on something epic.

So why do celebs pass on these epic roles? Sometimes it's scheduling conflicts. Sometimes they're just too busy. And sometimes, a story about a ghost stalking his ex-girlfriend just sounds silly. Either way, there are plenty of stars who missed out on legendary gigs because they didn't make it work. Here are ten celebrities that passed up big movie roles. Check out our comparisons below...

Molly Ringwald: Molly Ringwald could've made it past the eighties if she would've said yes to the lead role in Pretty Woman or Ghost. What was she waiting for? You don’t get any more interesting than movies about hookers and ghosts. She was also offered a part in Scream but turned it down because she was in her late twenties and didn’t want a teenage role. Can you imagine her replacing Julia Roberts?

Kate Hudson's rocker baby daddy, Matt Bellamy, revealed the name of the couple's newborn son: Bingham Hawn. We didn't expect a normal name—after all, they're celebrities. But this one sounds like someone from Boston trying to say, "bring 'em on." Bellamy tweeted:

"So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy. Born 7lb 12oz, on 9th of July."

It's been quite a year for celebrity babies...

Alicia Silverstone finally gave birth to a baby boy on Friday, confirming the occasion on her official blog.

And in an effort to compete with other celebs for weirdest baby name, Silverstone and her husband Christopher Jarecki have come up with quite the moniker.

“My husband and I welcomed our 7 lb 15 oz baby boy Bear Blu Jarecki into the world on May 5 at 7:50 a.m. We are all three in love.”

Bear Blu? Really?

From Brad Pitt to Alanis Morissette, countless celebs have used their status to advocate a cause we're celebrating today: Going Green .  Somewhere between buying your latte and tossing it in the nearest vessel that even slightly resembles a garbage can, it's easy to forget what affect we have on the environment. So to kick off Earth Day, here are seven celebrity tips for going green.

James Cameron: Make Your Household Green: James told Hollyscoop, “Everything in our household is green, it’s the way we teach our kids. We have organic gardens, we do the recycling. We do the energy efficiency, we drive the hybrid vehicles. Everybody should do that--that is not the most important thing, the most important thing is to understand the issues and vote. Vote no on Prop 23, understand that climate change is a major threat to the planet and our kids.”

Jennifer Aniston: Multitask “I take a three-minute shower. I even—brush my teeth while in the shower."

It takes me about ten minutes of being in the shower before I even wake up. If she can manage to pull it off, more power to her. Because a ten minute long shower uses about 42 gallons of water. With the average household taking 1,000 showers per year, that's a lot of wasted water.

Alicia Silverstone was one of the first celebrities to be public about her vegan lifestyle…long before it was the trendy thing to do. And now she’s put her experience on paper with a new book she’s written about vegan dieting. Alicia, who’s been vegan for ten years, has written The Kind Diet to promote healthy, natural eating.

Alicia says the book "explores the connection between what we put in our bodies and what we’re doing to the planet, and how choosing the right foods in the kitchen can help you feeling lighter, sexier, and more alive".

The Kind Diet will also include a three step diet program along with 75 vegan and macrobiotic recipes, and is due out next year.
