Alice In Wonderland to Make $100 Million Opening Weekend?

Finally we can talk about a movie other than Avatar! No offense to the James Cameron masterpiece, but it’s high time another film got recognized! And now it’s Alice’s time.

According to Deadline Hollywood, Alice In Wonderland is projected to make $100 million in its opening weekend. That’s huge, and the projection beats Avatar’s debut—the movie made $73 mil in its first box office weekend.

Apparently the numbers from today’s matinee are already impressive and beating Avatar, plus the higher-priced 3D tickets will make a big difference in sales.

The film cost $200 million to make, so making that back in the opening weekend is pretty incredible! Are you going to see Alice this weekend?
